Mug Rugs

Have you seen these adorable little Mug Rugs...they are larger than a coaster, smaller than a placemat...used to hold a MUG or other beverage and a snack.  They are made from fabric and quilted.  They are really cute and a fast fun project to do in an hour or so.  Here are pics of a few I have received in swaps.

My First Entry

I've been contemplating a blog for quite a while now and finally decided to go ahead and jump in.  Several of my "cyber friends" have them and say they are great.  So, here goes.  With the holidays quickly approaching and trying to get everything decorated and ready, the past few weeks have been awfully hectic and at times stressful.  Hopefully, that's something else that having a blog will help with....write it down, breathe and let it go!  My husband has always said that I go overboard at the holidays, but isn't that what the holidays are for?  I love decorating any time of year, but especially at Christmas...and yes, I probably do go overboard...but that's half the fun!  I love to collect ornaments...they would fall under "baubles" and have seven trees throughout the house.  I keep telling my husband that if we would just go ahead and get one of those 12 or 15 footers then I would only need one....and we could keep it up all year!   So far, he isn't going for it.  The main tree is in the formal living room and is almost finished....just a few more baubles up top.  I tried to finish it before Thanksgiving when all of the company was arriving and totally forgot to put the ribbon on it....didn't like the way it looked at all, so......took it apart and started over again.  Now it looks awesome!  Some of the trees have themes, some are bigger and some are little guys.  I'll get some pictures posted so you can enjoy them too.
